1907 Son of a farmer, Joseph MARAIS creates his own soil products company (cereal fertilizers, potatoes in Sorinières near NANTES in Loire-Atlantique). 1977 The development of the MARAIS family business, which had long gone beyond the boundaries of the regional market, led them to create SA MARAIS NANTES. 1991 The Nantes Town Hall awards the European Export Trophy to the MARAIS GROUP which already represents 120 producers from Pays de la Loire, Brittany and Landes. 1992 Creation of MARAIS BRETAGNE for the marketing of products specifically linked to this region. Creation of the MARAIS GROUP. 1992 Thanks to increased export development, mainly in Germany, the MARAIS GROUP obtains the Quality Prize for its trays, awarded by the Regional Food Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. 1996 The quality of the products and the excellence of the packaging of products intended for the entire European food market allow the MARAIS GROUP to obtain ISO 9002 certification for MARAIS NANTES N°17608. 1998 Obtaining the ECOCERT license for the marketing of organic “AB” products. 2001 Purchase of the tomato greenhouses of SCEA Garnier. 2009 Move of the Marais Group headquarters to the outskirts of the city, on the edge of the Nantes / Challans axis. 2012 Expansion of greenhouses at SCEA GARNIER 7-hectare above-ground tomato production operation. 2013 Purchase of the Coquille group (100 hectares of full-field production) which will become the ACOTEM Group 2015 Creation of the company MARAIS ENERGIE producing electricity 2017 Start of IFS Global market certification 2018 Takeover of the Robert Renard company 2019 Takeover of the Group Guilbaud and Vitamine & Co 2020 Opening of Marais Pornic 2022 Creation of the MARAIS DISTRIBUTION branch for regional sales 2023 Installation of our self-producing photovoltaic power plant
